Born and raised in Ahmedabad, India – In 1973, Minesh Modi acquired his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Baroda. Graduating at the top of his class, Minesh was given the opportunity to fulfil his passion and dreams by moving to North American to receive his Masters of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California, USA in 1975. 1981, he moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and he started working as a drafts man. A mere one year later (1982), Minesh was offered a partnership which transformed the firm into HMS Engineering Ltd and currently into MMP Engineering. Over time, Minesh welcomed long time senior company personnel Kalpesh Patel, Gary Maxwell and Jacky Zhang into the management fold. The firm changed the name into MMP Engineering to reflect the change of the management team in 2006.
Minesh Modi is the creative force behind the firm. Years of practical project experience, his value engineering capability and approachable nature make him a leader. He is responsible for many mega-development projects. His innovative, sensitive design solutions as well as his ability to facilitate a cohesive team environment have earned him the respect and continued patronage of a diverse base of satisfied clientele around the world.
His extensive background includes the structural design of low to high-rise buildings, shopping centers, office buildings, residential projects, industrial buildings, recreation centers, medical facilities and hotels.
